Laser Hair Loss Therapy - Restoration

Laser Hair Loss Therapy treatment is used to stop hair loss and strengthen it as well. It is a technology that has been used since 1980's to treat hair loss.The laser used is a low level laser, and thus it is called as Low level Laser Therapy (LLLT). The way it works is that the laser increases the blood flow in the skin cells under the scalp. This stimulation is called "photo-biostimulation" of the hair follicles. 

By itself the laser hair loss therapy treatment will not be able to restore your lost hair. However since it stimulates and speeds up the hair growth, it is sometimes provided by the physicians before and after hair transplant surgery. There has also been some home use devices like Hairmax Laser Comb which can be used at home to stimulate hair growth. Yet please note that the clinical studies on these effects have been limited. They are safe and FDA approved, yet effectiveness of these laser hair therapy devices will depend on the situation of the scalp. It is a good idea to keep the expectation as a hair transplant surgery supplement.
