About Transmed

Transmed was founded  in Istanbul on February, 1994 as an International medical center in order to offer state of the art cosmetic surgery. After moving to its 600m2 new building in Levent on February 1997, Transmed has steadily enhanced and expanded its services.

In 1997, Transmed was the first to offer Laser Epilation in Turkey with Epilight and Alexandrite Laser Systems. In 1998 Transmed introduced Liposhaping as a soft method of liposuction under the guidance of Dr. Giorgio Fiscler from Rome. Dr. Fiscler gave seminars and educated Transmed doctors about the concept of liposhaping. In 1999, Transmed started offering complete cosmetic surgeries -breast operations, abdominoplasties, nose operations, lipofilling, eyelid and face lifts- with Dr. Emirali Hamiloğlu. In 2000, the concept of 'dermalifting' was brought to the market. Face rejuvenation without surgery became possible with the use of Botox and Fillers.

 The Clinic

As of 2001, more than 1200 liposuction operations had been performed successfully at Transmed. 2003 was a time of further renovations and greater enhancement of our services. The building was renovated by one of the most famous architects in Turkey and became a modern, relaxing environment in order to provide the most comfortable experience possible to its customers.

The name that identified Transmed for 10 years, ' Transmed International Medical Center ' was changed to 'Transmed Hair & Cosmetic Surgery Clinic' in order to emphasize our fields of expertise.

In 2003 the Transmed Skin Clinic was formed in order to provide treatments according to the structure of the skin as determined by thorough skin analysis.

In 2005, Transmed introduced Lipocontouring as a new concept in liposuction. Jeffrey Klein invented tumescent liposuction. Transmed palstic surgeons completed an intensive in-the-operating room & hands-on-course in Tumescent Liposuction Surgery given by Dr.Klein himself in Los Angeles, California.

ISTANBUL
Istanbul, an attraction point for many civilizations for centuries, nestles a unique historic and cultural heritage. The world famous Bosphorus, lying between not only two banks of the city, but two continents, hosts live examples of such a richness. The leading historic values that place Istanbul in a peerless position among world metropoles belong to Byzantine and Ottoman periods while the history of human settlement in the city dates back 300,000 years. Istanbul itself is more like a giant outdoor museum with its palaces, castles, city walls, and museums. Still, current importance attached to Istanbul as a world city is not limited to its history. This modern city has always been called "the country’s window to the west." The health industry proves this modernism. Thousands of internationally approved doctors operate at global standards in modern hospitals and medical facilities, with the hi-tech equipment used in developed countries. Turkey in general is a candidate to take place among the pioneer counties of medical tourism with high quality standards beside cost advantages.

City center
All the medical institutions VisitandCare.com cooperates with in Istanbul are located right in the heart of Istanbul, close in proximity to the entertainment, wining and dining, shopping and historic districts like Beyoglu, Nisantasi, Etiler, and Levent. The Historic Peninsula and banks of the Bosphorus are the two local destinations that should be visited during a typical daily tour in Istanbul. The city center is the best place to enjoy in your free time in Istanbul where you may feel the taste of both the east and the west embracing each other in a harmonious sense.
